Michael Jordan wore the Air Jordan 6 in 1991, completing his second MVP season, locking in another scoring title, and hoisting the NBA Championship trophy for the first time in his illustrious career. Tinker Hatfield threw two grip holes into the rubber tongue to help people slip their foot in more easily, and included a translucent sole effectively contrasted the colored midsole. That proved to be an essential detail once the infamous Infrared colorway hit the streets.
